Erosion Along the North Branch
This past Spring, we have experienced several sites of slope failure along our river corridor due to excessive groundwater going over the underlying clay lense and causing the bank to fail and slough off. This has been discovered predominantly along our high banks which have a steep angle of slope down to the river. We are currently in the process of determining what remediation options are possible. Our first step, however, is to identify current locations of such erosion. If you have experienced this event on your river property, we would appreciate knowing about it.
Please respond to us with your name, contact phone number, and location (address) of the effected property. Once an inventory of effected properties is compiled, and best remediation practices have been determined, we will then decide what our next course of action is to be.
